Most of you know Jared Harris best as Lane Pryce, the clean-cut, button down proper Englishman from “Mad Men.” But Harris has been around for a very long time. The son of Richard Harris — yes, that Richard Harris (Camelot, the original Dumbledore in the Harry Potter films) — Jared has played John Lennon and Andy Warhol, among many other roles in his lengthy career. He’s definitely one of those that guys, having only gained notoriety with his role in “Mad Men,” which led to a beefy role in Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes sequel. He has yet another high-profile role coming soon; he’ll play Ulysses S. Grant in Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln biopic.
Odds are, you saw him long before you saw him in “Mad Men,” but you probably wouldn’t have recognized him.
