Wet Hot American Summer star Chris Meloni and country singer Luke Bryan joined Jimmy Fallon and Higgins on The Tonight Show for a round of a game called “Catchphrase,” and I have a serious complaint: Exactly one of these quiz answers was a catchphrase, the rest were expressions, figures of speech, idioms, proper nouns… this is the board game equivalent of Alanis Morissette’s “Ironic,” which wasn’t about irony. I’m not a fan of reboots, but if “Catchphrase” wants to be “Catchphrase,” it’s going to need a reboot. Because what this game is is “Password.”
Unless Fallon is just screwing with us now and inviting a bunch of famous people over for game night and just leaving the camera on to spite us.
