Gil Tucker was just doing a short piece on the production shooting in Calgary called Fargo. I’m sure he did a little research beforehand, but there’s always something that falls through the cracks. It just gets a little awkward when you run into one of the main actors and you don’t know who they are.
In his defense, Bob Odenkirk isn’t really the most visible of people to the mainstream audiences of the world. It’s probably especially true in Canada, where they never got Mr. Show and they have their own version of Breaking Bad where everything turns out alright for Winky White and his candy cane gang.
Also Larry King has gotten by for years without knowing anything about the people he is interviewing. It’s his thing. I’m just gonna call this Gil’s thing.
