It may have taken until their third appearance, but the Sand Snakes, Oberyn Martell’s revenge-driven bastard daughters, finally made a positive impression in last Sunday’s Game of Thrones. Obara, Nymeria, and Tyene were locked in a Dorne jail cell, as was Bronn, who traveled to this exotic land to rescue Myrcella Baratheon with Jaime. Bronn nearly died there, too, after Tyene poisoned the former-sellsword using her dagger. But after he admitted that she’s the “most beautiful woman in the world,” Tyene ended up saving him using a convenient antidote.
In between, we saw a lot of Tyene, as played by 19-year-old Rosabell Laurenti Sellers, who, and this is going to get weird, your kids might know as the star of Nickelodeon’s Mia and Me.
Told you it was going to get weird. The half-live action, half-CGI kids show is about a girl (Sellers’ titular Mia) who travels to a magical world using a book. Whimsy ensues. Mia and Me was filmed in 2011, but didn’t make it to Nick Jr. until last year, when Sellers was probably shooting Game of Thrones. This is probably not what’s going to happen to the Sand Snakes.

I hope it turns out that the Hound was the voice of Filbert on Rocko’s Modern Life.
