One thing very few people can disagree with: Lando Calrissian (played by the always suave Billy Dee Williams) was one of the coolest dudes in outer space in the original Star Wars movies. He may have done some shady sh*t to the crew, but he made up for it in the end. For fans who have been clamoring for more of Calrissian charm, good news. The smooth operator will be making an appearance on the January 19th episode of Star Wars Rebels and he’s looking pretty fresh.
For those curious as to how Lando will play into the Rebels storyline:
So how does Lando fit in? Well, it seems like in the episode he’s gambling with Zeb and wins the show’s droid, Chopper. That sets off a chain of events in which the crew of the Ghost has to get their droid back.
Sounds simple enough, but with Lando Calrissian on board, you can safely bet on some raised eyebrows, a suggestive jazz DJ-esque voice, and maybe a double-cross or two. Tune into Disney on January 19th with ‘Colt 45’ in hand to see how it all plays out.
