PRO: Comedian Brock Baker does 33 impressions from The Simpsons in the above five-minute video, and many of them are really pretty good. Actually, almost all of them are really good. I can’t imagine how long it took to nail them all down. Also, I bet it’s a neat party trick, especially when you’ve been drinking. (If he’s been involved in fewer than 100 conversations that start with “Dude, you should call [insert person’s name] and pretend to be [insert Simpsons character],” I’ll eat my hat, and your hat, and everyone else’s hat. I will eat all the hats.) I give him two thumbs up and a pat on the back for all of that, because it is very cool.
CON: He gets into this very meta riff in the middle where he’s kind of commenting on the impressions as he’s doing them, which I probably could have done without.
PRO: He addresses this criticism almost immediately LIKE HE’S IN MY HEAD.
CON: It’s not actually “33 impressions in five minutes,” as the last minute of the video is credits and links to his other videos. So he actually does 33 impressions in four minutes. Which is better, I guess. Although that wouldn’t make it so much of a “CON” as, um…
