Watch Garfunkel & Oates Recreate One Of The Most Legendary ‘Saved By The Bell’ Moments

The Saved by the Bell episode “Jessie’s Song” is best known for the scene at the end where Jessie Spano breaks down in Zack’s arms screaming “I’m so excited, I’m so excited, I’m so … scared” after he confronts her about her dependence on caffeine pills. This is kind of a shame, as it overshadows what is objectively a better, funnier, more hilarious moment from the episode: the music video for “Go For It,” by Jessie, Kelly, and Lisa’s pop-dance girl group, Hot Sundae. It’s really quite insane, for a number of reasons: the aerobics-inspired gear; the lyrics, which jump back and forth between workout tips and a message of love, and actually include the lines “And I’m so happy that I’m with you now, you’ll never see me in the lost and found” (incredible); and the fact that the show’s three main female characters shot a professionally produced music video and it was more or less never mentioned again.

I bring this up because Garfunkel & Oates, the comedy duo of Kate Micucci and Riki Lindhome, has created a damn near shot-for-shot remake of that video for their song “Sports Go Sports,” which you can see on tonight’s episode of their IFC show. Or you can, like, watch it now. Or both! Don’t let me tell you what to do.
