What’s On Tonight: ‘Mr. Robot’ Heats Up And The CMA Music Fest Celebrates Country Music

CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock (ABC, 8 p.m.) — Brett Eldredge and Thomas Rhett host the annual show from Nashville, Tenn. Artists set to perform include Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Jason Aldean, Kelsea Ballerini, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Chris Stapleton … pretty much everyone who matters in country music. If listening to people croon about dead dogs and cheating boyfriends is your thing, tune in.

Mr. Robot (USA, 10 p.m.) — Elliot has trouble quitting the game as Dom and the FBI head to China to look into 5/9 and Darlene reaches out to Angela for help.

America’s Got Talent (NBC, 8 p.m.) — The winning acts advance after results from last night’s performances are revealed.

Big Brother (CBS, 8 p.m.) — Another Power of Veto competition takes place.

MasterChef (Fox, 8 p.m.) — The losers from last week’s sweet-16 challenge must bake a three-layer birthday cake in 90 minutes. Later, team members are tasked with cooking for 100 farmers and making breakfast using a chocolate-hazelnut spread. So … nutella?

Young & Hungry (Freeform, 8 p.m.) — Season four ends with Gabi and Josh being put in an awkward situation after the girls must stay at Josh’s place while their building’s being treated for termites.

Baby Daddy (Freeform, 8:30 p.m.) — In the season five finale, Ben tries to make up for forgetting Emma’s birthday with a hastily planned party at a beer stand in the middle of a street fair.

Suits (USA, 9 p.m.) — Mike considers taking a deal to reduce his sentence while Rachel has her hands full representing a death-row inmate and Jessica and Louis clash over how best to handle a their new tenants.

The Night Shift (NBC, 9 p.m.) — Tonight’s two-part episode sees TC risking his life to save a victim of a crane collapse while Scott reunites with a boy he paralyzed. Later, TC’s anger issues land him in jail and Jordan discovers some surprising information about the man she’s dating.

American Gothic (CBS, 10 p.m.) — A huge revelation rocks the Hawthorne clan as Christina begins to lose trust in Garrett; Cam has his sobriety tests; Allison’s campaign begins to suffer; and Jack displays some disturbing behavior.

Another Period (Comedy Central, 10 p.m.) — Peepers has salacious fantasies and Beatrice and Lillian get songwriting help from Joplin.

Ghost Hunters (Syfy, 9 p.m.) — Season 11 kicks off with the team traveling to Cleveland to investigate a historic rail yard that’s connected to more than just old trains. Remnants of a serial killer and a terrible crash are later discovered.

Paranormal Witness (Syfy, 10 p.m.) — Season five begins with writer Jenny Scott following in the footsteps of Harper Lee (the woman who wrote To Kill a Mockingbird) before things take a scary turn.

Tyrant (FX, 10 p.m.) — Barry bans public prayer after a terrorist attack; Leila’s relationship with Cogswell progresses; and Al-Qadi speaks out against the restrictions on religious freedom.

Survivor’s Remorse (Starz, 10:30 p.m.) — The Calloways and Vaughns support each other after a terrible tragedy.
