Louie (FX, 10:30 p.m.) — It’s hard to believe that the funniest man on the planet has had his own show on FX for five seasons. In the Season 5 finale, Louis C.K. is still out on the road, where he crosses paths with one of those youths and her cell phone.
Aquarius (NBC, 9:00 p.m.) — David Duchovny plays an LAPD detective working a missing persons case with the help of an undercover officer. That investigation leads them to a man named Charles Manson. Maybe you’ve heard of him? Also, this will be NBC’s first foray into the binge-watching arena, as the network will release all 13 episodes online following the series premiere (they’ll be available for a four-week period).
Louis C.K. Live at The Comedy Store (FX, 11:00 p.m.) — Immediately following the Season 5 finale of Louie, we’re treated to more Louis C.K. as he gets back to his roots with a 90-minute comedy special filmed at the Comedy Store in West Hollywood. From the horse’s mouth:
I developed and prepared this material over the last year or so, mostly in comedy clubs. This special kind of goes back to when I used to just make noises and be funny for no particular reason. It felt right to shoot this special in a club to give it that live immediate intimate feeling.
Between (Netflix, 11:30 p.m.) — Jennette McCurdy and Co. are back, asking you to #PrayForPrettyLake in the second episode of the sci-fi Netflix series you can’t binge.
Wayward Pines (FOX, 9:00 p.m.) — The Grover’s Corners comparisons come full circle as Andy from Weeds guest stars as a real estate agent in “Our Town, Our Law.” Ethan still can’t even after Beverly’s “reckoning” and has the pleasure of bumping into Sheriff Pope, again.
LATE NIGHT GUESTS: Mets pitcher Matt Harvey on The Daily Show. All the network shows are reruns.
