In what has to be the first case of Wheel of Fortune getting “too soon” accusations thrown at it, a number of home viewers are very upset at the show for airing a “The Fast And The Furious” puzzle last night during its first episode since Paul Walker’s death on Saturday. As you can see in the screencap above, moments before the puzzle was solved, the show ran a scroll across the top of the screen informing viewers that the episode was filmed weeks ago (and it also tweeted a heads-up prior to the episode from the official Wheel of Fortune Twitter account), but many viewers still wondered why producers didn’t just pull the episode, especially if they have a few weeks worth of new ones already in the can.
After the show, both Pat Sajak and the Wheel account posted tweets expressing regret about the timing of everything. Also, a million or so people all made the same very original 2 Fast 2 Furious 2 Soon joke, because everyone is the worst forever.
