Apparently, Norwegian duo Kings Of Convenience — which comprises Eirik Bøe and Erlend Øye — got to writing their new full-length “Declaration Of Dependence” as they sat on the beach in Mexico somehwere in 2007.
We’re sure that the beach was very beautiful, and indeed relaxing. They were likely surrounded by people they love, plus a bunch of pretty, tall models pulsing to the beats of the ocean. Because that’s precisely what Kings Of Convenience’s music sounds like.
The album is their third, and their first in four years since “Riot On An Empty Street”; it will be released Oct. 20. If it’s anything like before, expect some bossa nova, some acoustic guitars, twee arrangements and really sexy promotional photos of Bøe.
