Would You Like To Get Paid To Travel The World And Get Drunk On Gin? There’s A Job For That

Every once in a while a job comes along that seems too good to be true. This is one of those jobs. There’s a club in Britain called ILoveGin that, well, loves gin. They’ve devoted their time on earth to introducing people to the wonder that gin is and all the fantastic drinks it pairs with. And ILoveGin’s love of gin is soaring to new heights this year as they’re officially hiring a “gintern” to travel the UK and Europe and — what else? — drink some gin!

The gintern will “spend their days trying new gins, new mixers, finding new brands to work with, visiting distilleries, pairing gins and ‘ginspiring’ us with their new-found knowledge.” That sounds gintastic! (Sorry.) After all, gin is one of the more versatile spirits out there and goes well with everything — from the bitters of Campari to the fizz of some champers.

Before you allow the gincitement (sorry again) of the this job prospect get too high, there are a few technical details to be aware of. It’s an ginternship, after all, so the salary is only £20,000 ($26,209) per year. Also, you have to live in the UK to apply. We’ll wait here while you look up how to make that happen. Maybe consider Scotland. It’s gintastic (ooof) up there! Otherwise, you just need to love travel and want to drink a lot of gin. Gin Luck! (I know god kills a kitten every time I make a gin joke, but I just can’t stop.)
