Plenty of teams around the sports world have found ways to honor those who were impacted by the terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday. The most notable example came from the NHL, where the Washington Capitals projected the French flag onto the ice while “The Star-Spangled Banner” played before its game against Calgary. While nobody else has gone to that extent to show their support, it has been great to see the sports world taking time to show solidarity with those who were affected by the tragedy, even if it’s with something as simple as a moment of silence before their game starts.
Before their game against Tulane on Saturday afternoon, Army football decided to join in with the crowd. The Black Knights had two players run onto the field carrying flags of different countries – one had the American flag, which isn’t anything unusual for the team. The other, junior defensive back Caleb McNeill, was directly behind him with the French flag. Here are a few pictures from different angles of the Black Knights taking the field.

Sure, it wasn’t the most elaborate gesture in the world, but it was still a really classy move by the Black Knights.
