Last week, the Internet was introduced to Phoenix Coyotes superfan Ronda Pearson after she went scorched-earth on the mayor of Glendale during a city council meeting. Pearson was angry over the lack of support she claims Mayor Jerry Weiers has shown the area’s NHL team, which is currently in an arena dispute.
Over the weekend, Pearson got to take her displeasure with Weiers a step further — she tased him. The police were there to help her do it, not arrest her, because it was all part of a charity event to raise money for the families of officers hurt or killed in the line of duty.
Citizens raised $10,000 on a crowdfunding site — the donation necessary for the mayor to get tased — for Pearson to be the person to get to do the deed.
