When it was announced earlier this year that Chris Tucker would be recording his first ever stand-up comedy special, the comic-turned-actor said that he was “thrilled” to be working with Netflix on this endeavor. A standard PR statement, sure, but the streaming giant’s recent run at stand-up specials has delivered some home runs (watch Chelsea Peretti’s special if you haven’t already) so Tucker’s would be another log on a growing fire. At the very least, it’s sure to get people talking about Rush Hour 4, since Tucker would probably love to star in another blockbuster and Brett Ratner could use another nacho fountain on his yacht.
Chris Tucker Live debuts on Netflix on July 10.
