Houston Texans star Arian Foster has more thanĀ 500,000 followers on Twitter. It’s unlikely that Foster would see a tweet from Ernesto Guerrero, a Texas A&M sophomore with 400-something followers, right? Well, Guerrero took a chance and decided to ask Foster on Twitter whether or not Foster could help him out with paying for his textbooks.
@ArianFoster can you help me pay for my books this semester??? Those hoes ain't cheap

And much to Guerrero’s surprise, the Texans running back responded.
@ArianFoster no way, I never thought you would read that. Tbh I'm probably gonna rent them to save some money. Shouldn't cost more than $200

“To be honest, it was sort of a humor tweet. I never thought he would see it considering how busy he might be,” Guerrero told Sporting News. “I assumed most athletes and celebrities don’t pay attention to their mentions.”
According to Sporting News, Foster direct messaged Guerrero an email address, and told him “we’ll make it happen.”
Wow never in my life has anything like this happened. @ArianFoster is the realist out there. From the bottom of my heart, Thank you!

Foster was asked via email why he did the nice gesture, to which he simply responded, “I’m just trying to look out for the next generation.”
