Watch A Telemundo Broadcaster Completely Lose It After A Packers Field Goal

Preseason football isn’t all that exciting. Most of us watch out of necessity, dreading the hours of crappy football played by men who will be bagging groceries in a month. So, when Mason Crosby kicked a 25-yard field goal in the Packers-Patriots game on Thursday night, nobody expected this.

What just happened? Was that fake? Hard not to think someone dubbed over this clip with a “goal” call from a soccer game. But nope, this was real and very spectacular. According to the Washington Post, this is not the first time Telemundo analyst Epigmenio Guerrero has done it.

The team of Guerrero and play-by-play announcer Kevin Holden are in their second season calling preseason games for Telemundo.

Guerrero, who goes by Epi, first made this exuberant call on another Crosby field goal in the 2014 preseason opener.

“It is a field goal,” Guerrero said. “In our culture to celebrate a goal in soccer is a big thing. I want to enjoy the goal the same as soccer as much as I can.”

You know what? The NFL needs to hire Guerrero for the Red Zone channel, specifically for the roundup of touchdowns at the end of Sunday’s coverage. Seven minutes of Guerrero screaming “goal” while guys celebrate touchdowns? Why hasn’t this happened yet?
