This incredible prep-school hockey highlight comes to us via Nathan Pelletier of the Burnaby Winter Club Hockey Academy in Canada. During a recent game, Pelletier got creative and managed to score one of the most impressive goals you’ll see for a very long time.
As you can see in the video above, the 16-year-old Pelletier flips the puck to himself along the goal line and takes a big swipe at it in mid-air, batting it with violent force past the goaltender and in. We’ve seen similar displays of creativity before, but the sheer velocity — not to mention accuracy — of Pelletier’s shot out of mid air is absolutely insane. And coming from a young teenager? That’s not even fair.
Also, how about that defender cross-checking him in the neck well after the play was over? Some people just can’t appreciate a legendary moment when they see one.
