This Youth Football Player’s Gatorade Bath Attempt Did Not Go As Planned

The Gatorade bath is such a staple of sports culture at this point that it even has its own Wikipedia page, that lists the original coach’s bath as happening back in 1985 when Jim Burt dumped a big ol’ bucket of sugary sports drink over Bill Parcells’ head after the Giants beat the Redskins.

Since then it seems to happen practically every week somewhere. The first win for a coach, an upset victory, a championship of any variety, any non run-of-the-mill victory could end up resulting in a Gatorade bath. Because of that, you can’t blame this youth football player for wanting to get in on the action after his team’s big win, but the thing is, most of the time the guys lifting those coolers are college or pro athletes who have a little extra muscle on them, and not pre-teens who haven’t gone through puberty yet.

Unfortunately the young lad here doesn’t quite understand that concept, and as he attempts to shower his coach with Gatorade, he ends up just chucking the entire thing into a crowd of people.

Fortunately his teammate doesn’t make the same mistake and instead of trying to go with the overhead dump, opts for the much more efficient side toss, drenching one of his coaches. Take some notes, other kid.
