Fifteen years after announcing to the world that they’re really, really, ridiculously good looking, Derek Zoolander and Hansel McDonald are back, and they’re “old” and “lame.” The world, and the entire male model industry, has changed, and it’s up to them to prove that they’re still relevant.
That’s, more or less, the plot of Zoolander 2, which brings back familiar faces from the original, including Will Ferrell, Christine Taylor, and Billy Zane, as well as newbies Kristen Wiig, Kanye West, an androgynous Benedict Cumberbatch, and Penélope Cruz, who asks them to infiltrate and take down an organization that’s murdering the world’s most beautiful people. One of whom is, apparently, Justin Bieber, who gets killed in a manner befitting CSI.
That’s reason enough to see it. Zoolander 2 comes out February 12, 2016.
