Star Wars: The Force Awakens finally opened on Thursday night in theaters across the world and was expected to draw record numbers at the box office. Fans of the franchise have been waiting for the newest installment for years, and that includes Oakland A’s relief pitcher Sean Doolittle, who has been tweeting about his excitement since last spring.

Doolittle’s girlfriend, however, did not share that same excitement. On Thursday, he apparently promised her a nice date night, but this may not have been what she had in mind.
"I bought you a new outfit," he said. "We're going out tonight," he said. "Go try it on," he said. This is garbage. pic.twitter.com/Dj3pEFhf9Q

Okay, so maybe a movie night with thousands of fans dressed in Star Wars gear isn’t ideal for someone who isn’t the biggest fan, but perhaps she would get in the spirit during the car ride to the theater?

Then again, maybe not. I’m not sure it’s possible to give a bigger eye roll than that. Anything bigger might have resulted in an injury to her socket.
No word on whether or not she enjoyed the movie, but we can confirm it met Doolittle’s expectations.
THAT. WAS. AAAAWESOME. #TheForceAwakens
