Robert Griffin III didn't talk to reporters, but cleaned out locker, leaving only this… pic.twitter.com/gOD0gSvHic

The Robert Griffin III era in Washington likely came to a close when the team lost 35-18 to the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card round Sunday. The embattled quarterback was inactive in all but one game this season and will almost certainly be released or traded in the offseason.
To say goodbye, Griffin didn’t actually say goodbye, as he wasn’t there to speak to reporters Monday; instead, he left a note, like a husband who went out for a pack of smokes with no plans to come back. Keely Diven of CSNMA snapped a picture of RGIII cleaning out his locker, an unceremonious end for the man who nearly had his leg fall off in a playoff game three years ago under the watchful eye of coach Mike Shanahan.
RG3 cleaning out his locker is one of the sadder, more surreal scenes I've seen in DC sports https://t.co/kYXfogNAvb pic.twitter.com/6faKUx8w4B

Before you start thinking Griffin is deep and a poet, realize that the note in his locker is like a popular post on Twitter that doesn’t give any credit to the original creator of the content. The note is simply a poem Mother Teresa wrote back in the day when she was doing all that helping and whatnot. She wrote it on the wall of her home in Calcutta, and I assume it wasn’t because her employer that paid her millions of dollars decided to drop her for Kirk Cousins.

Say what you want about Griffin, but he will certainly be missed by fans in D.C. Hugs all around.
