Later on Monday evening, Flea shared a new tattoo commemorating what Bowie meant to him on his Instagram account. It was a simple tattoo on his forearm in black ink, with Bowie’s last name forever etched onto the bassist’s arm.
While Bowie was smart enough to know just how big his impact on the world was, artists like Flea only confirmed as much. They expressed just how much he meant to them as an artist, innovator and inspiration. His impact on the industry will be felt for generations to come.
