Yoko Ono Says That She’s Not The Reason The Beatles Broke Up

Honestly, it’s a bit sad that Yoko Ono still feels the need to defend herself from accusations that she broke up The Beatles. But I guess fanboys never stop being the worst, even after they have retired and moved to Florida. She continued to proclaim her innocence, of all places, in a feature in Us Weekly called “25 Things You Didn’t Know About Me” while promoting her new album, Yes, I’m A Witch, Too.

“I had nothing to do with breaking up the Beatles. And I think Paul [McCartney] is a pretty cool dude.”

There were other Beatles-related tidbits in the feature, including shots at the diet she maintained with John Lennon (“John and I wasted 15 years eating macrobiotic and drinking soy milk, when all I wanted was a little half-and-half”) and her favorite Beatles album (“I don’t know if people will hate me for saying this, but I always preferred The White Album to Sgt. Peppers’ Lonely Hearts Club Band“).

A few of the revelations are both great and non-Beatles related. For example:

“I prefer doing the dougie to krumping.”

Go ahead and try to picture 83-year-old Yoko Ono dougie-ing and krumping without smiling. It’s not possible. As if to counter those posi vibes, Ono ends the column on a somber note.

“Maybe people already know this, but I miss John every day.”
