After deciding not to pursue his NFL dream and continue his basketball career overseas, Nate Robinson recently made his debut in Israel, scoring 25 points in his first game for Hapoel Tel Aviv.
Robinson recently sat down for an interview with an Israeli TV station to discuss the start of his career overseas, when he was interrupted by a shirtless bicyclist who challenged him to a game of one-on-one. The cyclist didn’t seem to be the least bit phased by the fact that he was interrupting a live TV interview, and he even returned later to flex and tell the former dunk contest champion that he was going to “kick his ass.”
Some athletes might have been thrown off or even upset at someone with that much bravado coming up to them with such a proposal, but Robinson was a great sport, saying:
“That’s an interview!.. That’s awesome. That’s the first time ever someone has done that, it’s sick. So cool. The fans are great, how could someone be mad at that?”
Although the confident cyclist seemed to be in pretty great shape himself, I can’t say that I like his chances if that game of one-on-one ever actually does go down.
