It’s Daisy Ridley’s birthday, and her Star Wars: The Force Awakens costar (and possible on-screen father?) Mark Hamill wished her a happy birthday with an adorable “throwback” photo. The unofficial rules of throwback photos usually preclude pictures from a week ago being used for that purpose, but Luke Skywalker himself can do whatever he wants. The behind the scenes photo taken at Pinewood Studios shows Ridley giving Hamill a piggyback ride and the latter pointing to something in the distance – the craft services table maybe? – where he wants to be taken.
Even though everyone has long assumed that the cast of the new Star Wars trilogy have as much fun together behind the scenes as they do in interviews, further confirmation that this cast is basically the best is always welcome. Having Mark Hamill constantly hanging out and asking for piggyback rides is any Star Wars fan’s dream, so Daisy Ridley is living the best life while also getting to be a super cool part of the Star Wars universe herself. How could her life even be better at this point? Now what we need is a series of photos like this for every birthday.
