“There’s no hiding from this. We have to fight.”
As promised, here’s the action-packed trailer for Game of Thrones season six. It’s one thing to read about all that’s coming — like an “awesome” last scene in the premiere episode, “The Red Woman.” But it’s another to see it, because there’s a lot coming. Including Tyrion’s first meeting with Daenerys’ dragons, Sansa vowing vengeance on Ramsay, and, of course, the dead.
Other observations:
-The Tower of Joy is sure to bring joy to every book-reader.
-It’s somehow reassuring to know that Walder Frey is still the worst.
-Davos should provide voiceovers for all trailers.
-Sansa: looking more and more like the Queen of the North…
-Something bad is going to happen to Podrick. I’m not ready.
-The hype for the show’s “biggest [action sequence yet]” is real.
-Jorah might want to get his greyscale looked at.
-Someone please put Tyrion’s “That’s what I do, I drink and I know things” on a T-shirt that I can buy right now. Thank you.
-Every episode this season — which co-creator David Benioff said was a “beast” to finish — cost at least $10 million. But the money’s all up there on the screen. The White Walkers look great; the dragons look even better.
-Still no Gendry.
Some things never change. Game of Thrones season six premieres on HBO not soon enough, better known as April 24.
