Now that Deadpool, the highest grossing R-rated movie of all time, is available via streaming, fans of the Merc with a Mouth have been breaking the film down, still by still. We already covered some of its best Easter Eggs, but one that slipped by is the names on the dead pool, as opposed to Deadpool, in the seedy Sister Margaret’s Home for Wayward Girls bar.
In case you’re unfamiliar with a “dead pool,” because you’re a decent person, the basic idea is that you can bet on which famous person is going to croak next. It’s especially loathsome (though hilarious) in a dive filled with mercenaries. So, who do the vile killers in Deadpool have in their dead pool?
The roster includes: Bill Cosby, Charlie Sheen, Kanye West, Wade Wilson, Vladimir Putin, Ryan Reynolds, T.J. Miller, Lindsay Lohan, Miley Cyrus, Kid Rock, Mike Tyson, Judd Nelson, Lil’ Wayne, Shia LaBeouf, Ned Beatty, Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld, Ozzy Osbourne, and Amanda Bynes. The highest bet was made by Weasel on Wade Wilson, who are played by Miller and Reynolds, who are also in the dead pool. If they die, does everyone win? If Kanye dies, no one wins. We’d be deprived of so many great toilet stories.
