Rumors about Cruel Winter — the follow-up to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music showcase album Cruel Summer — have been circulating since about .015 seconds after the release of the original album. But four years after “Mercy” made everyone’s whole life, it looks like a proper sequel might be under way.

Big Sean shared a series of Snapchats that showed himself and Kanye jumping around the studio to new music. The first features ‘Ye saying “Yeezy might have to go and put his Louis on” and the second features West saying “Pray for me I’m about to hit the ‘Ye button, I don’t wanna say nothing wrong.” There also seems to a little bit of Travi$ Scott in the second clip, though that could just be Desiigner trying out a new lane.

Of course, all of this would just amount to nothing more than Big Sean and Kanye West working together if it weren’t for an Instagram post from Fonzworth Bentley from the same session with the caption “#CruelWinter”.

While this project might delay Kanye’s next project, which has been tentatively called Turbo Grafx 16, it seems like a fair trade. Anyone who doesn’t want to hear a post-Yeezus answer to tracks like “New God Flow” and “Clique” is not somebody worth knowing.
