It may be years since the Harry Potter movies and books came to a close, but with The Wizarding World of Harry Potter taking over both coasts, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them slated for a fall release, and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child taking over the stage, it’s safe to say Harry Potter isn’t leaving the public consciousness anytime soon.
Now, Pottermore has launched, and it’s a Potter fan’s dream. On the *magical* site, you can read a large amount of J.K. Rowlings’ work made just for the site, have a wand assigned to you, and most importantly — be sorted into a Hogwarts house.
Through a series of deep and personal questions, the sorting hat quiz determines if you belong in Slytherin, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw or, god forbid, Hufflepuff.
To mark the launching of the sorting hat, the stars (minus Daniel Radcliffe) of Harry Potter got re-sorted. Evanna Lynch, who played Ravenclaw Luna Lovegood, was headed to Gryffindor. Bonnie Wright, who played Harry’s eventual wife, went to Gryffindor as it should be, but Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) and the astonishing facial hair of Neville Longbottom (Matthew Lewis) went straight to Hufflepuff.
I have to admit — it’s definitely a fun way to spend a few minutes. I got Ravenclaw, and my wand is a nice 12.5 inches with dragonheart string. Nice.
