“Pitch Perfect 2” star Snoop Dogg likes weed. Heck, he loves the stuff. Snoop is synonymous with marijuana. So when it came time for someone to use their voice to defend NFL players that are punished for using it, it only made sense for Snoop to stand up.
There was a segment on ESPN’s First Take where guns were the topic of discussion. While weed is illegal in most places, guns are not, so the NFL can’t punish players or deter them from owning firearms. Instead, they are doing a surprisingly responsible thing — educating players on how to use them safely.
That’s good! Isn’t it?
Snoop took to Instagram to voice his displeasure with a league that’s pro-guns and anti-weed in the wake of a four-game suspension of Buffalo Bills defensive lineman Marcell Dareus, a weed enthusiast.
Snoop said:
“So the NFL want to give players rights to carry guns but won’t give them the rights to smoke weed? They already violent as fuck playing football. Give them something to turn them down — weed. We should say motherf*cking marijuana is legal, not f*cking guns, you goofy-ass motherf*ckers. NFL, y’all stupid as f*ck. Man, get at me about fixing this sh*t. How y’all gonna clear guns but don’t clear motherf*cking marjuana? Marijuana calms a motherf*cker down. Guns turn a motherf*cker up. Nothing goes right with guns.”
“Marijuana calms a motherf*cker down,” says the super angry guy who is high on marijuana all the time.
Snoop makes a good point, but what is it about weed people that makes them steer every conversation toward making weed legal? You can be talking about literally anything and Snoop could make it about legalizing weed.
“My mother died last night. Eaten by a bear. I’ve never felt worse, Snoop.”
“If weed were legal, you could smoke it now and feel better.”
“You’re not helping, Snoop.”
