The TV Version Of Deathstroke Has A Fun Response To Joe Manganiello Taking His Role In The Movies

While there has been more cohesion as of late in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe with their television offerings, DC Comics seems to be a bit more all over the place. The latest is that Joe Manganiello will be playing Deathstroke in Ben Affleck’s standalone Batman movie, but the thing is, Deathstroke already exists on the show Arrow and he’s played by Manu Bennett. This isn’t the first time that this has happened, either, with Ezra Miller taking on the role of The Flash while Grant Guston plays The Flash on television.

Bennett decided to poke some fun at the whole situation by taking to Twitter to show that there are no hard feelings, although if Manganiello can take his role, he should probably take one of Joe’s. The one that he picked, well…

In a way, though, it does sort of make sense, right? It’s not like True Blood is still on the air and they could probably tack on another X to the Magic Mike movies and go for a sexy trilogy. Why not? Bennett has been playing Deathstroke since the first season of Arrow on The CW and fans of the show took to him almost immediately. It really is strange to have two different actors playing the same character at the same time, but hey, what can you do? Manganiello is, perhaps, a bit more famous right now, though, so we’ll give him that.
