It’s unlikely there’s another show as polarizing among TV fans as HBO’s Girls. (See: here.) It’s as if the only way to talk about it is to yell louder than the person you’re arguing with…who’s also screaming their TOTALLY OBJECTIVE OPINIONS ABOUT GIRLS at the top of their lungs, while a boring Ben Kweller song plays softly in the background. I happen to like the show, or at least the second half of the season after an awful beginning, and feel the world should be talking about Allison Williams and Zosia Mamet more, but I get why people don’t, so let’s talk about something we can all agree on: DOG WITH A BLOG CHRISTMAS EPISODE. This weekend, Disney Channel will air a holiday-themed episode of its new series Dog with a Blog. “Bark! The Herald Angels Sing” [Ed. note: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!] finds the blended Jennings clan celebrating its first Christmas as a family — which, naturally, leads to a few butting heads.
Take this exclusive clip, for example, in which parents Bennett (Regan Burns) and Ellen (Beth Littleford) begin battling for holiday cookie supremacy. “Suffice it to say, I’ve had my fill of holiday cookies for the year,” Littleford tells EW via email. “And I’m still picking crumbs out of my bra.” (Via)
The clip on EW‘s website is disappointingly dog-less, but let’s never forget the time that a kids show on Disney Channel about a dog with a blog called Dog with a Blog insinuated that a canine was masturbating to a website called “Hot Poodles” late at night. Maybe Dog with a Blog and Girls aren’t so dissimilar after all…
