Rogue One: A Star Wars Story may be a spin-off anthology movie, but it’s still going to have its own full line of toys and collectibles, and Lucasfilm has been unveiling them via Star Wars Go Rogue, a series of fun Robot Chicken-esque stop-motion shorts. In Chapters one, two and three, Jyn Erso and her Rebel friends tracked down both halves of the Lego Death Star’s building instructions, and now it’s time to confront the Empire at their Star Destroyer headquarters.
Our plastic “actors” have changed from episode to episode – Director Krennic has been played by both a Funko Pop and a standard 6-inch action figure thus far – and this time, Star Wars Go Rogue goes entirely Lego. As in past episodes, it’s also fun to speculate how closely these cartoons might mirror the real plot of Rogue One. Will the actual movie culminate with a showdown and shootout in the loading bay of a Star Destroyer? Will the Star Wars plans end up being destroyed in the end? You’ll just have to wait until the movie hits to find out!
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story arrives in theaters December 16, while the Rogue One toys should be hitting your kids’ Christmas lists sometime before that.
