Jigga My Trigga: Hear A Mashup Of 'Chrono Trigger' SNES Soundtrack And Jay-Z

Since Jay-Z released The Black Album in 2003, we’ve heard The Grey Album (Beatles), The Brown Album (Kev Brown), The Purple Album (Prince), The Black Chronic (Dr. Dre), The Slack Album (Pavement), and The Black and Blue Album (Weezer). What other Hova remix possibilities are left? Well, one very good one: Chrono Jigga, a mashup of various Jay-Z songs with the soundtrack to Chrono Trigger, one of the best SNES games ever.

According to mix-master 2 Mello:

This is a mashup project of Jay-Z’s lyrics and Chrono Trigger soundtrack, which was created mostly because of fan support and the fact that these tracks all came together as if they were meant to be! And it started as a little joke project in the back of my head…Look, as a gamer and MC/hip-hop producer, I had always wished there were more idols in the field of rap music who gamed, or at least talked about it a bit in their raps. It would have helped me relate more, and certainly made me feel more comfortable in the art. There are guys like Jay who are media moguls hiding their personality, and I wanted to make this to explore the alternate reality of Jay-Z announcing himself as a gamer and going crazy on some Chrono Trigger beats!
