Suicide Squad already has its first of possibly many spin-offs on the way with their Harley Quinn movie starring and produced by Margot Robbie. Last week we learned it would be Gotham City Sirens, directed by David Ayer, written by Geneva Robertson-Dworet of the upcoming Tomb Raider movie, and featuring not only Harley Quinn, but other female DC villains as well (probably Poison Ivy and Catwoman). But will we also see a cameo from some of the dudes in Suicide Squad? If Will Smith has his way, we will.
When asked by MTV International if he’d like to reprise the role of sharp-shooting assassin Deadshot in some capacity in Gotham City Sirens, Smith said, “I’d definitely love to be in it. I love Margot Robbie, I would do, like, anything she wants to do.”
If we’re really lucky, maybe he’ll continue his tradition of saying the title of the movie in the movie and deadpan at some point, “What are you, some kind of… Gotham City Sirens?”
Gotham City Sirens doesn’t have an official release date yet, but we expect it to arrive sometime in 2018, also known as the 18th year of our Willennium.
