Another day, another step closer to one of the biggest fights in combat sports history being made. Now, instead of speculation, we have some firm numbers on the expected paydays for Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather. In short, both men should be happy.
Dana White spoke to MMA Junkie who got the lowdown on the massive checks that are going to clear (if/when this fight happens), and it looks like Mayweather will get his expected seven-figure paycheck, and McGregor will get roughly $75 million “if it sells as well as I think it can,” White said.
Of course, this payday for the two fighters doesn’t leave that much left for Showtime, the UFC, and Mayweather Productions (the PPV provider takes about half), and White knows this: “At the end of the day, does this fight make a ton of sense for me? It really doesn’t. Conor wants this thing really bad, and I’ve said it many times, the kid’s stepped up and saved some big fights for me. So I’m in. I’ll figure it out,” White said.

Granted, the UFC even making a few million off of the fight would be fine considering the massive interest in the bout would do wonders for brand recognition. Beyond that, the UFC would still likely make more splitting the bout five ways than holding the typical UFC Fight Night 1817292028 with two relative no-names at the top of the card.
“It’s all about money,” White explained. He’s right.
