Love them or hate them, Florida Georgia Line are here to stay (I love them). The country duo are reaching out beyond the stage to open their very own music venue in downtown Nashville — something that’s sure to irk the old school country establishment, who has not reacted kindly to the particular strain of bro-country, that incorporates big, stadium-sized EDM elements, some rapping, and a whole lot of partying. Please check out “This Is How We Roll” video, featuring fellow country titan Luke Bryan, above, if you haven’t heard it yet and the previous sentence made you want to.
As far as their venue, though, it will be called the FGL (Florida Georgia Line, natch) House and is located at 120 3rd Avenue South. It officially opens June 5, and is described in a press release as “four stories of vibey music, inspired food, and unforgettable good times.” Additionally, the venue is said to embody “the duo’s anything-goes world” and will serve their very own whiskey, Old Camp Whiskey. Yes, they have their own whiskey.
Food will southern cuisine with a California twist, and the “Cruise” rooftop bar will be the largest rooftop bar in Nashville. Honestly, if you’ve spent any time in the honky tonks on Nashville’s downtown strip, that’s a pretty incredible feat. Also, if you’ve spent any time on that strip, you know the FGL House will fit right in. Although, the “Little Red Corvette” basement martini bar — complete with gigantic video wall — sounds like a slightly different vibe.
If you’re interested in purchasing a VIP membership package, they are available here. Don’t worry though, even if you’re not a VIP you still have access to the “anything-goes” world, just drop by any time after June 5. The guys are also headed out on tour with Nelly this summer, so if you can’t make it out to music city, let it come to you.
