Enes Kanter Would Like To See The Flat-Earthers Vs. Team Hoodie At All-Star Weekend

The NBA is changing. The jerseys are changing. The Draft Lottery is changing. The All-Star Game is changing. When you consider the fact that the NBA has never been more profitable than it is right now, it’s easy to appreciate how aggressive they’ve been in trying to make the game better. It’d be a lot easier to sit back and ride out their recent success, but Adam Silver deserves a lot of credit for continuing to innovate and evolve.

You’ve probably heard by now that the NBA is moving towards a captain and draft format for the All-Star game. It’s a fun idea in theory, but we’ll have to wait until All-Star Weekend until we find out if it makes the on-court product any better. If it doesn’t work out, though, Enes Kanter has a new All-Star Game format that both Silver and the NBA should strongly consider.

Team Flat Earthy Theory vs. Team Hoodie? Yes. Yes, please.

You’d obviously have Kyrie Irving captain the flat-earthers, and Carmelo Anthony captaining Team Hoodie, but from there the questions becomes, who should play on which team? You’re going to have a hard time finding a full-squad of Flat-Earthers, I’d imagine. Especially since Kyrie Irving may have been joking about the entire thing in the first place.

With that being said, Irving can probably convince some of these impressionable NBA kids that the earth is flat. Giannis Antetokounmpo spent two years in love with smoothies. Now, he’s obsessed with dad jokes and stand-up comedy. Why do I get the sense that Irving could convince Giannis, if even for just a day, that the whole Flat Earth thing is real? From there, you’d probably have to start picking up players who simply don’t want to play in a hoodie.

Russell Westbrook doesn’t strike me as a guy who wants to be told what to wear. He may join the Flat-Earthers as an act of rebellion. Besides, Kevin Durant is absolutely playing for Team Hoodie so you know Russ is going in the opposite direction.

If nothing else, Kanter’s idea would present some of the most bizarre all-star game jerseys we’ve ever seen.
