ESPN’s Michael Jordan Documentary Has A New Trailer And A 2020 Release Date

Back in May, ESPN announced its plans to produce a new 10-hour documentary on Michael Jordan and the 1998 Chicago Bulls titled “The Last Dance.” The original plan was to release the 10-part doc in 2019, but that has apparently changed to 2020.

Still, while we won’t be getting the gigantic documentary that promises tons of never before seen footage of those Bulls teams, from practices to the locker room and more, along with interviews with Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Phil Jackson, Dennis Rodman and others, ESPN did give us a little early Christmas gift with a new teaser trailer that dropped just after midnight on Tuesday.

It’s pretty clear that there will be some juicy nuggets to come out of this documentary, with an apparently very candid Michael Jordan being willing to talk about just about everything — his “Scottie was being selfish” line was without a doubt the best teaser line in the new trailer. As for the footage the NBA’s had locked away in a vault until now, one can only hope that it’ll be a fascinating peek behind the curtain at those infamous Bulls practices with Jordan being an insane competitor, even with his teammates.

It is a bit of a bummer that, for whatever reason, this is being pushed back to some time in 2020, but whenever it comes out it is guaranteed to get tons of attention and create plenty of buzz around the basketball world.
