Los Angeles rapper Nipsey Hussle was reportedly one of three people shot outside the Marathon clothing store he owns in L.A. on Sunday afternoon.
The connection between the NBA and hip-hop community is strong and a number of NBA players offered support and prayers to Hussle on Twitter, including stars like LeBron James, Steph Curry, and Dwyane Wade.

Many other current and former players from around the league also posted to social media, hoping for the best and that speculation regarding the shooting was not true, as there were a number of varying reports floating around social media about the rapper’s status.
As the news began to spread, other NBA players expressed their shock and hopes that Hussle and the other victims were OK.

Later on Sunday night it was confirmed that the rapper, 33, had died in the shooting and the NBA community gave their thoughts, prayers to the family, and expressed their pain at the loss of the talented artist. It was a tragic day for hip-hop and its fans, as well as the Los Angeles community where Hussle had dedicated so much to trying to help.
