Fox is committing to the X-Men movies in a pretty big way after X-Men: Days Of Future Past became the highest-grossing X-Men movie in the series. And the series is going through another time-skip. So where’s Mystique in all this?

Jennifer Lawrence discussed it with IGN and pointed out that at the end of the movie, Mystique is pretty much out of friends.

“She’s a hero to her own race in a way which makes her a villain to her opposite race. I don’t really know where she’s going to go. I’ve had a few conversations about where we’ll find her. She obviously needs to be in hiding somewhere.”

Mystique and Magneto are taking center stage in this one, which is hardly a surprise considering Lawrence’s star power. But we will be curious to see where somebody who can fit in on the surface but not inside will turn up. Since it’s the ’80s, we have a modest suggestion, but we’ll see what they turn up fairly soon. The movie begins shooting next April and will be arriving Memorial Day 2016.
