“That’s the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to me.” On Tuesday night’s episode of Hot Seat, an Australian game show similar to Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, a contestant named Whitney went down in spectacular fashion on the first question.
“Which of these is not a piece of jewelry commonly worn to symbolise a relationship between two people?”
She was given a choice of engagement ring, anniversary ring, wedding ring. or burger ring.
Now, to be fair, I have no idea what a burger ring is, neither do most of you. But it kinda sounds cool and it kinda makes me hungry. But I digress. I’ll go ahead and say it’s not a ring that symbolizes a relationship between two people (maybe between a person and a piece of meat, though).
Anyway, Whitney reads the question incorrectly (presumably) and answers ‘anniversary ring.’ Upon realizing her mistake, she asks for a do-over because apparently, she has no idea how game shows work. Poor lady.
Maybe one day she’ll meet “Mythological Hero Achilles” guy and make beautiful, stupid game show babies. Yes, please, let’s make that happen.
