Anne Hathaway appeared on last night’s The Daily Show to promote her new film Song One, which is a super serious movie. Hathaway plays an anthropologist getting her PhD in Morocco who has a falling out with her slacker younger brother and doesn’t see her family for six months until her brother is hit by a car and lands in a coma.
So Anne Hathaway explained the plot of her movie to Jon Stewart in a completely straight-forward, serious manner — and as she finishes with “and then he gets hit by a car and is in a coma,” Jon Stewart just absolutely f*cking loses it. LOSES IT. His reaction immediately triggers Anne Hathaway, who also starts cracking up, and then the two of them giggle about her coma movie for like the next two minutes straight. To be honest, I have no idea what’s happening here but it’s wonderful.
