Following his team’s 5-4 home loss to the New York Rangers on Tuesday, Toronto Maple Leafs interim head coach Peter Horachek spoke to the media about his disappointment in his team’s effort, saying that they were lethargic and lacking in energy. Oh, and his team’s “give-a-sh*t” meter was too low.
This is a good lesson for all of us, I think. We could all use our give-a-sh*t meters to be just a little bit higher. Right now, I put the Maple Leafs at “Goes Onto The Ice In Baseball Cleats,” but the needle is definitely wavering.
The Leafs dropped to 23-28-4 on the season and are 13 points behind Boston for the final playoff spot in the East.
