One of the greatest regrets of my life is not scheduling an oral history about the legendary treadmill scene from Dexter exactly one year after it aired. I won’t make that same mistake again with How I Met Your Mother‘s answer to that infamously bad TV moment: the entire series finale. At the time, I called it “fan service that no fan actually wanted,” and all the subsequent edits are much better than what actually happened. Well, it’s been 365 days since Ted’s kids told him to get over their dead mom and demand that he bang Robin, a milestone I intend to celebrate.
