The first half of Game 4 of the Clippers versus the Rockets was, to put it lightly, abysmal. Both teams employed the “hack-a” strategy, slowing the game down to a snail’s pace.
The second half was a massive improvement over its predecessor, mainly because the Clippers’ offense started clicking, which led to ridiculous alley-oops like this one from Chris Paul to DeAndre Jordan. Being hacked over and over again must have built up a lot of frustration on Jordan. Luckily, he got the chance to take all of it out on the rim.
Instead of the Skills Challenge of the Shooting Stars Challenge on All-Star weekend, the NBA needs to have a lob-off between DeAndre Jordan and Anthony Davis. Not a dunk contest, but a contest to see who can catch a lob the farthest away from the basket. The smart money would be on Davis, but given that Jordan caught this lob from beyond the charge circle, it’d be a close contest.
