President Trump’s Twitter account has been — let’s face it — an utter PR disaster for the past week. He retweeted multiple anti-Muslim videos that sourced from an al-Qaeda affiliate in Syria. This weekend, he essentially tweeted-admitted to obstruction of justice (while claiming that he fired Michael Flynn for lying to the FBI, which means that he was aware of Flynn’s guilt while reportedly pressuring James Comey to stop probing Flynn) before a Trump attorney bizarrely took the fall for the tweet. And on Sunday, he rage-tweeted on several subjects, including a claim that the FBI’s “reputation is in Tatters – worst in History!” And Trump vowed to “bring it back to greatness.”
After years of Comey, with the phony and dishonest Clinton investigation (and more), running the FBI, its reputation is in Tatters – worst in History! But fear not, we will bring it back to greatness.

Trump conveniently didn’t mention that Comey reopened the probe into Hillary Clinton’s private email server mere weeks before the election — a move that, in retrospect, made Comey feel “mildly nauseous” because this may have swayed the election. And we know who won the election, yes?
Well, Comey is feeling better lately, so he’s been having a merry time on Twitter. Today, he responded to Trump with shade while quoting his own testimony (in which he laid out a carefully crafted case against POTUS) before the Senate Intelligence Committee: “I want the American people to know this truth: The FBI is honest. The FBI is strong. And the FBI is, and always will be, independent.”

While Comey was content with his trademark shade, another ex-government official abandoned all subtlety against Trump. Former Attorney General Eric Holder showed no mercy in his tweeted response. He began, “Nope. Not letting this go.” Holder then defended the honor of those who work for the FBI and “do a great, apolitical job.” He added, “You’ll find integrity and honesty at FBI headquarters and not at 1600 Penn Ave right now.”
Nope. Not letting this go. The FBI’s reputation is not in “tatters”. It’s composed of the same dedicated men and women who have always worked there and who do a great, apolitical job. You’ll find integrity and honesty at FBI headquarters and not at 1600 Penn Ave right now

Trump has yet to respond to either of these tweets, but it’s probably coming. The president did, however, begin Sunday by calling Comey a liar and stating that he “never asked Comey to stop investigating Flynn.”
I never asked Comey to stop investigating Flynn. Just more Fake News covering another Comey lie!
