So much for Andrew Wiggins being a disappointment.
What still fascinates about the Canadian sensation’s surefire Rookie of the Year campaign is a decided lack of highlights like these. Wiggins’ skill game is much further along than anyone anticipated, and he’s certainly had a fair share of high-flying alley-oop finishes and explosive shot blocks. Poster dunks, however, have been fleeting.
Maybe this one will be the tipping point for far more to come. We certainly hope so.
Wiggins has 16 points as his Minnesota Timberwolves are locked in a tight one with the short-handed Phoenix Suns with the third quarter clock winding down.
