Better X-Mas Day Outfit: Chris Bosh or Russell Westbrook?

With the NBA’s change in its dress code policy, it’s always fun to check in on their pre-game fashion. But with today’s holiday, and five nationally televised games on, it means a lot of people are scrutinizing the players as they enter the arena to play. That’s why the pre-game outfits of Russell Westbrook and Chris Bosh are so much fun to compare.

There’s no telling what a player will throw on, especially among the more fashion-forward NBA players. But even those players who like to think of themselves as NBA trendsetters, can commit the occasional fashion faux pas still — especially when those players know they have a big TV audience soaking in their look.

First off, Russ was “killin’ it” in the bowels of MSG before OKC’s matchup against the Knicks today. The leather overalls, black undershirt, Big Daddy Kane chain and black winter cap with “killin’ it” etched in white combined to form a Christmas Day dream for the Fashion Ave crowd, or a nightmare — depending on your sartorial sweet spot.

Bosh was much more festive in a black sweater featuring a “Bumble” graphic in the middle of blinking blue, green and red lights. While it was certainly brighter than Russell’s all-black affair with the bling, we think it perfectly fits Bosh’s demeanor. Both players have a decided “Why not” attitude towards clothes and we all get to laugh at the result.

So who had the better pre-game outfit?
